Well-being Support Group

Woman Group Poster

We are delighted to have launched a well-being support group for our staff here at Beaumont Manor. The purpose of the group is to support those staff who identify as female to have their own set of toiletries and a space that is private to them, to support them with the physical and psychological changes that the menopause may cause.

We have created a personal space for our staff to enable them to have a shower during their shift if required, a safe space to relax with fans that can keep them cool. We have also purchased extra uniforms for them if required and everyone has their own set of personal toiletries to use whilst at work, these include:

  • Cooling face spray
  • Face cream
  • Wet wipes
  • Deodorant
  • Hand cream
  • Pampering face mask
  • Body cream
  • Lip therapy aloe vera gel
  • Cooling neck towel

We launched our first phase of the project on the 24th August 2022.

Our aims are:

  • To support and maximise attendance at work
  • To support individuals to have the time and space to help them with symptom control
  • To support individuals to share their experiences and help each other
  • To recognise the menopause as a individual characteristic so all staff are supported fully
  • To support and encourage individuals to seek professional support if required
  • To provide an online counselling service if required.
  • To review rota management if required

We look forward to seeing where this project takes us and the overall positive effect it will have on our female staff, as we believe it's so important that our staff are looked after just as much as our residents. By going the extra mile and ensuring our team is happy and healthy, collectively we can continue to provide exceptional care.
