The Wonderful Nurses at Beaumont Manor

Appreciation for our nurses

At Beaumont Manor Care Home, we are proud to have a team of 10 Registered Nurses who cover day shifts and night shifts resulting in 24-hour Nursing Care.

We wanted to provide a little insight into our outstanding Nursing Team to highlight what it means to receive nursing care at Beaumont Manor, and for you to understand more about what to expect when it comes to your loved one's care.

Collectively, our Nursing Team has over 150 years of experience in a variety of Nursing roles. Our extensive Nursing team has a varied set of skills gained from previous nursing roles and therefore provides residents at Beaumont Manor with the best care possible. This includes medication management, wound care, End of Life care, catheter care, liaising and making any necessary referrals to other medical professionals who are involved in our residents' care.

Within our team of Registered Nurses (RGN), their role is that of a team leader and their duties include coordinating the group of care staff to provide the best care to our residents within Beaumont Manor Care Home. A Registered Nurse is also responsible for encouraging a good working environment and maintaining clear communication among all team members which consists of care staff, housekeepers, admin team, kitchen staff and home maintenance.

The Registered Nurses' duties include planning care, dispensing medications, assigning duties, directing and assisting members of the care team, giving direct resident care, teaching and coordinating resident activities. The Nurse assigns each team member specific responsibilities depending on their role. The members of the care team report directly to the Nurse, who then reports to the Deputy Manager or Home Manager.

The Registered Nurse on duty works closely with the Deputy Manager and Home Manager to ensure the smooth running of the care home. Communication is enhanced through the use of written handover sheets completed during each shift for the development of individual nursing care plans, with regular team meetings to discuss an individual's care as well as formulate revisions to the plan of care to ensure consistency of care.
