Investing in our Team
At Beaumont Manor Care Home in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex, we like to invest in the professional development of our team members. It is important to us that our residents receive the highest-quality, person-centred care, so it is essential that we have a team of care professionals who share in our mission to deliver this.
The happiness of our staff and residents is of utmost priority to us, which is why we continue to invest in our home, to ensure that it delivers the finest care and environment for all in our community.
Two of our staff members have recently undertaken training courses and this month we have caught up with them to hear about their experience and what life is like working at Beaumont Manor Care Home.
Carla - Senior Healthcare Assistant
"I have worked at Beaumont Manor since November 2017 and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. I have worked alongside our Registered Nurses and have been able to gain a full insight into the nursing profession.
I currently work as a Senior Healthcare Assistant and I was given the opportunity to pursue my nursing career with the Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship through the Anglia Ruskin University. The wider company, our Home Manager Kate, and all the other staff have offered their encouragement and support for me to meet the needs of my course and have allowed me the time to learn on the job working closely with our Nurses.
With their support, my aim is to complete the Nursing degree top-up after this course with the end goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. I have a keen interest in wounds and wound management, as well as end-of-life care. My aspiration is to specialise in one of these clinical areas and I look forward to continuing my development with Beaumont Manor Care Home."
Martine - Care Assistant
"I started working at Beaumont Manor Care Home in September 2022 and was offered the opportunity to do my NVQ2 which I started this January.
I have found the course extremely helpful and interesting so far and it has really helped me in my knowledge of the care sector. The home has been excellent in supporting me with my learning and coursework.
I feel as though this qualification will help me in the future to achieve my goals in relation to becoming a Senior Carer Assistant After completing my course, I will be working closely with our Home Manager Kate, who will help me progress in my career at the home."
