Springtime and Easter Cheer at Beaumont Manor
Spring has well and truly arrived, and here at Beaumont Manor Care Home, we’ve been embracing the season with open arms, sunshine smiles, and a whole lot of Easter cheer!
To kick things off, we took to the beautiful beaches of Clacton and Frinton for a big Easter promotional day - and what a day it was! With blue skies overhead and the sun beaming down, our very own Beaumont Bunny and Chicken mascots brought joy to locals of all ages. They were out and about handing out goodies galore, from sweet treats and pens to handy tote bags, travel mugs, and information about our home.
We had such a lovely time meeting people, sharing stories, and enjoying a proper cuppa (and a cheeky slice of cake, of course!) at the local café. It was the perfect way to spread the word about our upcoming Easter events and invite the wider community to come and join the fun.
And the fun doesn’t stop there…
We’ve got a cracking celebration lined up for Friday 12th April - and you won’t want to miss it! There’ll be something for everyone, including:
- Tasty hot dogs and traditional hot cross buns
- A lively Easter egg hunt for the little ones
- Face painting, music, and plenty of festive cheer
- Special guest appearances from our much-loved Chicken and Bunny mascots
But it’s not just about the fun and games - we’re also honouring the season with heartfelt traditions. Our brilliant chef is baking homemade hot cross buns and a traditional Simnel cake, using a recipe lovingly shared by our residents. And on Easter Sunday, we’ll be gathering around the table for a delicious roast leg of lamb dinner, with all the trimmings.
With the days getting longer and brighter, our residents have also been getting stuck into a spot of gardening. Sunflowers and daffodils are now popping up in our garden beds, bringing a splash of colour and a whole lot of joy. It’s been lovely to see everyone enjoying the fresh air and getting their hands a little muddy!
