Big Birthdays at Beaumont Manor
On the 6th and 7th of November, we at Beaumont Manor Care Home in Frinton-on-Sea proudly celebrated the 104th birthday of Grace Richardson and the 101st birthday of Daisy Zeal.
Grace Richardson
Grace was born in Dovercourt, where she grew up, married, and lived pretty much all of her life. After leaving The Hill school at the age of 14, Grace went on to work in a shop and turned her hand to some factory work. Grace said her biggest achievement has been reaching 104 years old.
Grace was named after her mother Grace Mariah; Grace also has a brother and 2 children who have gone on to have children of their own giving Grace grandchildren. Grace said that family is very important to her.
Grace joined us at Beaumont Manor on the 29th of September 2020 and has her hair done weekly. Grace also enjoys regular visits from her daughter and starts every morning around 5am with a lovely cup of tea.

Daisy was born on 7th November 1922 in Tottenham, London. When she left her London-based school, she went to work in a factory making windscreen wipers. Daisy has a very close family 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Daisy went on to have a family of her own after marrying Cyril in 1942. Cyril worked for a tool company as an engineer and sadly, passed away in 2009. Daisy and Cyril had one child together. Daisy enjoyed going on holiday to Butlins in Clacton and that was one of the reasons she decided to move to the area when she retired with her husband at 60.
Daisy joined us at Beaumont Manor on 21st May 2022 she enjoys interacting with other residents and taking part in activities run within Beaumont Manor. Daisy also looks forward to regular visits from her family and is often out with them.
Our lovely centenarians asked us to send this to the local paper so that they are famous and much to our delight, it has been recently covered by the Clacton Gazette.
