Beaumont Manor Supports Future Nursing

The Beaumont Manor team in the home reception

At Beaumont Manor, we work in partnership with local universities to provide student placements for trainee Nurses. Gabrielle and Mary Rose have been on placement for 6 weeks. During this time, they have worked alongside care staff to understand true person-centred care and our Nurses have provided mentorship support and 1:1 academic guidance so they can complete the required modules set by their university.

Our residents and staff have welcomed both students and as their placement comes to an end, we would like to wish them the best for their future careers and have asked them to return when qualified so we can congratulate them.

"I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have gained the additional skills and knowledge at Beaumont Manor Care Home. What I personally value from this placement is that personal care is not just meeting a resident’s basic needs; rather, it is an extended nursing role where it has allowed me to establish a good rapport with the residents.

A special thanks to the nurses who have mentored me you all have been amazing. Also, a big thank you to all the HCAs who have looked after me during shift; you have made every shift enjoyable". - Mary Rose

"My placement at this home was my first learning experience. The welcome by staff and hospitality was outstanding, surrounded by senior nurses that shared their values, experience and professionalism. Beaumont Manor provides a friendly environment that promotes a holistic approach to patient care by involving family and friends. The kitchen and room service was so efficient, lovely and would be the best place to keep your loved ones for nursing care." - Gabriel
