An Extremely Busy Month at Beaumont Manor!

This month, our residents have had a great time participating in a variety of activities and events as part of our extensive activities programme. We strive to always improve the quality of life for our residents and ensure we always organise activities that align with their unique interests.

Physical Activities and Engagement

Every Monday, we have a visitor called Oscar who leads our residents in physical activities ranging from carpet bowls to ball games, promoting both fitness and social interaction. These sessions have become a cherished part of our routine and help to foster a sense of community and well-being.

Halloween Preparations

As Halloween approaches, residents have been busy with arts and crafts in preparation for our upcoming party on Thursday, October 31st. This festive event will include many fun-filled activities and is a great opportunity for our residents to showcase their creativity through various Halloween-themed crafts. Completing arts and crafts also helps to improve cognitive functions and increase social opportunities.

Musical Entertainment

Musical Moments has graced us with performances that entertained residents on our upper and lower floors. The lovely Tessa led a sing-along session that encouraged everyone to join in the fun and dance which created joyful memories and helped to keep our residents active in a fun and exciting way.

Exploring History

In a delightful twist, we have also been exploring the evolution of currency by comparing old money to today’s notes. This has sparked interesting discussions among residents about the history of money and how the value of it has fluctuated over time.

Fundraising Efforts

We are proud to announce that our recent coffee morning raised £279.16 for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of our breast cancer awareness initiative. The community's generosity was heartwarming, and it made us more excited for our other fundraiser on Friday 18th October for breast cancer awareness.

These activities not only enrich the lives of our residents but also strengthen the bonds within our community, making every day an opportunity for connection and joy. To find out more about our purpose-built care home in Frinton-on-Sea, book a tour or contact our dedicated team.
