A Ritz Style High Tea Experience
Due to some of our resident's physical limitations, it isn't always easy to get some of our residents out into our local community. However, it is important to us that they do not miss out on the fun, so our activity coordinators work hard to ensure that there is a lot going on inside our all-inclusive care home.
Recently, we hosted a 'Ritz' fine dining experience for our residents which gave them an opportunity to dress up and do something different for an afternoon.
Our in-house chefs created a High Tea menu that had an array of sandwiches with traditional fillings and sweet treats. Residents were treated to homemade scones served with strawberry jam and a choice of whipped cream or clotted cream.
To finish off the tea, there was a selection of homemade cakes and pastries including chocolate eclairs, coffee and walnut cake and victoria sponges. This was all washed down with a choice of tea, coffee, fruit juice or Bucks Fizz.
To set the scene, we decorated our dining room with coloured napkins, cake stands, ice buckets and gold china plates. Our residents were all sent an invitation to the event and asked to get all dressed up.
The whole afternoon was a big success and many of our residents have requested another experience just like this but with their loved ones in attendance too. We look forward to hosting more of these fine dining experiences for our residents and making the most out of the all-inclusive facilities that our home has to offer.
